arts festival planning meeting

 CHANGE OF DATE: The Arts Festival planning meeting, announced on Peter's List and on the website, has been postponed to Tuesday, May 25th, 5pm at the Arts Centre. 

Please come and contribute your ideas for the display and celebration of Lasqueti's wonderful arts community. This is a huge volunteer effort, and lots of fun to be a part of. Jobs that need doing every year:

• publicity (posters and signs),
• outdoor and indoor set-ups,
• pickups and deliveries from the ferry,
• Friday night readings and kitchen,
• Saturday daytime food, beer garden,
• hanging and selling the visual art,
• Pierre's cafe,
• Saturday gate,
• Saturday music,
• Saturday night dance, door and bar
• Saturday night, Sunday cleanup,
• and, and....

Each of these jobs needs a coordinator as well as some to many volunteers. We also need an overall coordinator to keep everything running smoothly. Many seasoned Festies will be involved, so no one will have to invent the wheel here.
