To Our Lasqueti Family

Event Date:

WInter Greetings From Manitoulin Island!

As many of you know Roland and Phoebe and I traveled to Ontario for the winter to be closer to family and experience a climate change.  It turns out that the drier, sunny cold winter in Northern Ontario improved my condition enough to consider making a change.  This is the main reason we, without a lot of thinking, bought a little country house in the township of Tehkummah on Manitoulin Island. yes">  It was a surprise to us to feel excited about any place other than Lasqueti Island but we went on a feeling and decided to go for it.  We wish we could take you all with us but now we have to say goodbye to dear friends, a wonderful community and a magical place we will always hold close to our hearts.

We drove for eight days to get here and since we have chosen not to fly we feel that it would be too hard on Phoebe and our wallets for the three of us to make the round trip to B.C. to pack our things so Roland has taken on the task.  We can’t take everything with us so there will be a few items for sale:  a couple of serious mountain bikes that were made for Lasqueti, some potted fruit and nut trees that didn’t get planted, a 12 volt Nova Cool stainless steel freezer/fridge and some reduced to sell paintings from the Stephen and Auguste series.  Roland will be on the rock the second and third week of January so drop in or give him a call: 8593.  I’m so sorry that Phoebe and I won’t be there to say goodbye in person. We already miss you and would love to stay in touch.

Our new address is:  387 Consession 2 Rd. S  Tehkummah, ON  P0P 2C0     Tel: 705-859-1103

Come by if you’re in the area.

Thanks Lasqueti.

Love Madonna, Roland and Phoebe
