Job Opportunity at the Internet Centre

We are looking for someone who is motivated, creative, and reliable; someone with good computer and people skills, familiarity with office equipment (fax machine, printer, scanner, etc.) as well as the ability to improvise & multi-task.

Responsibilities will include: coordinating volunteers, updating membership list, & organizing workshop(s); facilitating internet access for the community, and helping the “Digitally Disadvantaged”.

Applicants must be between 15 –30 years of age, and legally able to work in Canada.  Those who have held the Youth Intern position in the past are NOT eligible (in other words, you can’t do the job twice).  Pay is $10 per hour to a maximum of 420 hours.

LIAS no longer operates the public access computer centre formerly known as the e-centre. It was closed due to a lack of sufficient interest or energy from centre users and volunteers.

LIAS has no plans to re establish or re open an e-centre.
