LIAS

The Yellow Mt. Access Point (AP) is up in a big old Fir, like many of the orignal AP's now being replaced by towers.  This AP services the south-end of Lasqueti.

This map shows the current wireless internet system servicing Lasqueti and Texada islands.  There are connections to the internet via Telus on Vancouver Island at Quality Foods and in Powell River.

This map shows the layout of the current wireless "backboone" on Lasqueti.  The "Access Points" on this backbone provide wireless internet coverage to surrounding areas.

This map shows approximately the areas currently serviced by the LIAS wireless internet system.  Coverages change with each new access point and tower improvement, so check with LIAS for current availability and other options for those lying outside the coverage area.
