The ferry runs from French Creek Harbour on Vancouver Island to False Bay on Lasqueti Island. Pay parking is available at the marina. The trip takes from 50 minutes to over an hour (in rough waters).   Passengers and freight only - no cars!


Lasqueti is quite sparsely populated and lies in a rare ecosystem type - the Coastal Douglas Fir zone.  Our famous herds of feral sheep, along with the unique history of settlement have resulted in an ecology and natural environment with its own character.

Our Isle & Times is a monthly, community-supported newsletter (i.e., the articles and ads are written by community members), which has been published for 20 years.  It follows in the footsteps of many other fine newsletters that existed under different names and incarnations on Lasqueti. 

The Lasqueti Island Solid Waste Management Advisory Committee (LISWMAC) was formed in February 2016 'to research and advise the Powell River Regional District on how to best implement the Solid Waste Management Plan within Electoral Area 'E''.

The Lasqueti Island Nature Conservancy (LINC) conserves and protects land for the benefit of wildlife, plants and the public. To achieve our mission, LINC acquires legal interests in land and provides public education on the natural and cultural features on Lasqueti and surrounding islands.
