Fire Warden - (BC Forests) 2017

I will not be filling the local (Lasqueti) position of Fire Warden with BC Forests this summer.  I have enjoyed a good long run as BC Forests representative on Lasqueti and thank the community for their steadfast support and co-operation over the years.  I recognize and want to acknowledge that Lasquetians have done an excellent job over the years of passing on fire related information and concerns to non resident home owners, and visitors/tourists which has been of tremendous value to us all by further elevating our general level of fire awareness and personal alert levels within our community.  Should the position of Fire Warden remain vacant please direct inquiries regarding the "Fire Hazard Rating" "Burning Restrictions" etc. to the Coastal Fire Centre (BC Forests) at 250 951-4222, or the 800 number listed in the phone book Blue Pages or our local Fire Department, Chief Carlson's numbers are 250 240-4128 (cell) or 250 270-0266 (home).
