Vanpool
LETS! is working on starting a Vanpool service during key ferry times. Because so many residents rely on the ferry deliveries of groceries and various goods, the Vanpool will also accomodate grocery and package delivery for a fee.
There are many details to sort out about payment and reservation systems, routes, and scheduling and we are currently working on solutions that will work for our little rock. We are also checking into the feasibility of using biodiesel.
Survey
While LETS! waits to hear back about funding for our Vanpool, we have put together a few questions to hear back from you about how it can best serve the community.
The survey will be going out in a mailer this week, (February 14th-20th). You can also find it attached to this post, http://lasqueti.ca/files/LETS_vanpool_survey-090210.pdf.
Completed surveys can be returned to LETS! c/o Rob Cameron or Solona Armstrong, (General Delivery, Lasqueti, V0R 2J0).
LETS! Board of Directors
Meanwhile, the LETS! Board of Directors will be formalizing its Act and Policies this week. They will be posted here when ready.
Rideshare Board on the Ferry
We were given permission to use a small section of the bulletin board nearest the wheelhouse of the ferry for a rideshare board. It is being designed and will be up as soon as it's ready!
